Grilled Jalapeno Poppers!

Jalapeno Poppers

6-10 fresh jalapenos

1lb cream cheese softened

½ lb. cooked breakfast sausage

2 lbs. bacon

Set out the cream cheese on the counter to soften 1 hour before sausage is cooking.

Cook breakfast sausage in a skillet then add to the bowl with the cream cheese. Mix thoroughly

Clean peppers by cutting stems off the jalapenos then cut in half lengthwise

Remove seeds and rinse with cold water

Start filling the peppers with the softened cream cheese and sausage mixture

Wrap with ½ piece of bacon for smaller peppers or use a whole piece per if they are larger

Place peppers in the fridge until ready to cook.

Grill or smoke over indirect heat for approx. 45 min.

You can also cook in the oven in a pan @ 350 deg for 45 minutes.
